Shopping Cart Solutions

MedNet offers the following standard shopping cart options:

 

• Basic / E-commerce Level 1 Cart: Products and shopping cart, up to 25 items ($100/additional 25 items). Online credit card processing not included.
  
  
• Enhanced / E-commerce Level 2 Cart: Products and shopping cart, unlimited products, full enterprise level e-commerce functionality, including online credit card processing.

 

Both options include:

 

• Storefront – Your products listed with pictures, descriptions and prices
• Shopping Cart – Visitor-selected items, tax, shipping and total cost
• Checkout – Billing, shipping and credit card information and notes

 

After placing an order, the visitor receives an email confirmation. You, as the vendor, receive an order fulfillment notification with a secure link to retrieve the visitor's credit card information, which you then process manually in your office.

Online Credit Card Processing

The Enhanced / Level 2 Cart gives you the option of choosing to set up online credit card processing rather than having the visitor merely enter their information which you then process in your office. With online processing, the total amount of the order is processed in real time and deposited into your merchant account.

 

Alternative online credit card processing may be done with a merchant service provider, in which you only incur fees when an order is placed. This service is a credit authorization process seamless to the end user.

 

Monthly fees for the payment gateway service are from your bank and are not associated with MedNet's e-commerce development or hosting fees.

Security/SSL Certificate

It is essential that your shopping cart be secured so that the visitors' billing and payment information cannot be accessed by an outside party. MedNet includes the purchase and installation of a two-year secure SSL certificate with each shopping cart package.
